This position is located at: Golf Course - Fort Polk, LA. This vacancy is in conjunction with the FMWR Job Fair on Wed, 07/29/26. Walk-ins will be accepted 9-11 am, interviews will be conducted 11-1 pm. The event will be held at the ACS Building #920 (920 Bell Richard Ave.) Applicants who attend this event will be given priority consideration. - Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more.
- Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. Tasks may include digging ditches, cutting trees using axes and chain saws, and lawn maintenance on grades and slopes.
- Resets nails, replaces hardware, relocate playgrounds, flowerbeds and portable structures. Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required.
- Knowledge of the processes, which require remembering directions and/or sequences be, required. Knowledge and skill in the operation, control, and cleaning of heavy, power equipment lawn mowers, chain saws, jackhammers).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
