SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SAP DEPARTMENT of STRIKE FIGHTER WING LANT.


  • You will direct leading, managing, and controlling all aspects of assigned Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • You will serve as the Command’s spokesperson in all matters involving securely operating SAPs contained within the Commodore’s portfolio.
  • You will exercise centralized authority and control over resource management, priorities, schedules, personnel, training, and strict adherence to governing directives to employ and safeguard our nation’s most precious capabilities.
  • You will lead the implementation, oversight, and operations involving SAPs.
  • You will analyze and evaluate security directives, guidelines, policy, legislation, and regulations in support of SAPs for proper implementation and adherence.
  • You will identify security deficiencies and assure that all personnel comply with applicable national and Navy directives.
  • You will establish command security policies and procedures for the protection of program information and materials.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of Navy Special Access Programs (SAP) and collateral security manuals, procedures, policy guidelines, and regulations for security management of such programs as set forth in by Federal agencies' guidance on the proper implementation of SAPs. Experience applying a comprehensive knowledge of specialized security programs that involve applying policy direction to specific operating requirements, and developing guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various degrees or levels of security controls. Experience applying knowledge of DOD and DON information and personnel security program regulations and physical security manuals. Experience applying knowledge of guidelines to meet security requirements of both Navy SAPs and Compartmented Program systems.
