CYBER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Gordon, GA.
- Researches, evaluates, analyzes, advises, and implements innovative solutions that increase quality and efficiency of operations conducted across ARCYBER JFHQ-C.
- Serves as a command exploitation analyst (EA) that carries out network reconnaissance and vulnerability analyses and planning efforts
- The incumbent leads and manages exceptionally technical personnel to include EAs, mission commanders, capability developers, and other technical advisors.
- Reviews, ensures quality control, continuity of testing, documentation, distribution of guidance and approving tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) when delegated by USCYBERCOM and JCPG as part of mission management.
- Serves as the subject matter expert in signal intelligence (SIGINT) policy, intelligence oversight practices, and all elements of tactical SIGINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination processes and activities.
- Employs multiple sources of intelligence to conduct temporal, nodal, and social network analysis.
- The incumbent assists with integrating CO capabilities into operations, exercise, design, integration, and synchronization of cyber related effects.
- Presents information both written and orally on computer network topology and telecommunications architecture, their components, concepts, associated protocols, and theories of network communications.
- Through regular review of message traffic, intelligence information, data analysis, and from other sources of information, identifies intelligence gaps, then assists in the development of operational programs to meet the identified need.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by performing network reconnaissance and vulnerability analyses in support of cyberspace operations; providing techniques and courses of action for operational security methods, strategies, and regulatory policies; identifying technical risk and mitigation strategies for offensive cyberspace operations; utilizing multiple sources of intelligence to conduct network analysis (i.e. temporal, nodal, and social) in support of cyberspace operations.
