GENERAL ENGINEER

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PEO(A) PROGRAM BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position will be the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) for the H-53E which includes the Navy MH-53E and the Marine Corps CH-53E for the In-Service Level I IPT. The primary responsibilities are management and oversight of all engineering for the aircraft and weapons systems.


  • You will facilitate engineering discussions, and identify technical solutions by applying engineering theories, concepts, principles and processes.
  • You will coordinate problem-solving efforts as designated, and identify and de-conflict competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
  • You will document solutions in relation to cost, schedule and technical (performance) constraints.
  • You will develop and review various technical documentation including Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs), presentation materials, formal memos, informal memos, and general correspondence.
  • You will communicate with stakeholders across the industry and other Program Offices, as required.
  • You will coordinate and document Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events.
  • You will participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs), technical reviews, and technical interchange/coordination meetings.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a Lead Systems Engineer or as a Lead Technical Domain Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems providing authoritative systems engineering or senior-level engineering technical domain input and advice to systems engineering and to program management leadership; 2) Leading the development and incorporation of Systems Engineering work products or technical domain work products required to satisfy, complement and inform the System Acquisition program management process milestones, artifacts, strategic planning, risk characterization and decision making on major weapon systems; 3) Leading or significantly mastering the incorporation and use of the various and broad resources to support engineering development, planning and testing for assigned systems; and 4) Leading engineering, technical, acquisition, and sustainment support personnel and teams.
