FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST

This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-13007641-26-AMW. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement. You will serve as a FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Fire and Emergency Services of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY CRANE.


  • You will develop training and safety programs in accordance with various regulatory agencies (e.g., Department of Defense, Occupational Health and Safety Administration, National Fire Protection Association).
  • You will oversee firefighting training areas (e.g., live fire, mobile or fixed training devices inspections, testing, certification and maintenance programs) for an organization.
  • You will deliver fire training to inform of daily operations and the use of fire equipment.
  • You will verify personnel use the correct personal protection equipment during firefighting incidents to ensure safety.

Requirements

For GS -11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing training and safety programs in accordance with regulatory agencies; 2) Managing the development and implementation of emergency medical services, Structural firefighting, Hazardous Material Response and Confined Space Rescue training plans; 3) Conducting course research, providing quality assurance for training requirements; and 4) Completing written reports of program effectiveness, training academics, and study outcomes in order provide recommendations. For GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing training and safety programs in accordance with regulatory agencies; 2) Managing the development and implementation of emergency medical services training plan; 3) Conducting course research, providing quality assurance, and maintaining budgetary controls for all training requirements; and 4) Completing written reports of program effectiveness, training academics, and study outcomes in order provide recommendations. (NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.)
