  • You will apply contracting policies, contracting practices and negotiating techniques to negotiate in the acquisition of services, systems, and construction.
  • You will perform pre-award and post-award functions relating to the planning, development, award, and/or administration of contracts.
  • You will analyze and provide technical guidance on factors affecting contractors' costs using historical cost data.
  • You will interpret procurement regulations and policies.
  • You will review contracts, contracting plans, and contract changes.

Requirements

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, managing, and implementing contracts using Government contracting laws and policies; 2) Using computer operations to develop and/or analyze technical and financial reports regarding costs; 3) Applying negotiation techniques to make agreements involving contract price and terms.
